A lone boy finds himself stranded
A midsummer day’s dream
Beckoning softly
As a quiet breeze passes by
The light outside fades into dusk
As the sun sets upon a autumn scene
Leaves fall casting shadows upon the wall
Burning inside the open sky
A gentle sigh escapes the boy
As he falls into the night
A frozen tree
Caught in winter’s grip
Lies outside the window
Its branches stiffened by the harsh cold
The biting frost
Eats into the bark
Breaking into its inner soul
The ice tears into the inner heart
Freezing all emotion
The snow slows
The sun rises as it hangs in the air
The breeze stills and falters
As the dawn breaks through the blind sky
A new day is born
And a dream dies.
