Autumn fades into winter’s chill
As I sit waiting in the night
Clouds obscure sight of stars
Of heaven’s sweet light
The dark cold breeze doth blow
It’s frigid frosty howl
Life’s passing in silent recollection
Warm summer’s memories
As leaves fall
To a seasonal death
Each second falls
Like rain upon times face
Each hour passes in cold thought
The warmth has left my fingers
My hand freezes in mid sentence
Of what I meant to say
