Cherry petals fall gently off the sea shore
As the sunset illuminates the sky in glorious wonder
The waves rolls in and break on the sand
Pulling all back into the depths
The now dying light is replaced by starlight
lights that hang in the heavens
Watching
Waiting
The moon rises in the distance
Illuminating the sidewalk with silver light
The shadows of the trees obscure
One man walks alone
Under the trees
As the petals land on his shoulders like soft rain
He takes no notice
His mind is elsewhere
He gazes up at the stars questioningly
His mind a mess of confusion
Trying to weed out the logic
In its eternal chaos
A flower petal flutters by his eye
Drawing his attention to sight
Cherry blossoms
Blooming
Falling
All while the moon shines
On the lone man
Walking
On a mild spring night
