It’s been awhile since I’ve sung to you
Since I’ve let my heart string verse
My dear time’s past due
For you to hear my love
I’ll write of how your smile
Uplifts my very life
Or how your eyes, shining
Capture my very soul
I’ll speak of your kindness
Of your laugh so sweet
I’ll tell of how I miss your touch
Your warm hands intertwined in my own
I’ll scrawl across these very pages
Of how unique you are
How special and precious to me
So much that I can never seem to fit
All of it, so grand
All of it, so great
All of it, all yours
All, you are mine.
I’ll not let go until I leave
Even then, I hope
My hand
Stays comfortably
In yours.
