Spring Love

Spring melts the frostbitten wounds of winter
Softens the cold fingers
Stretching forth unto light
Unto life

Time passes too quickly for words
Carrying the feather quill
Scrawling upon tiles of centuries past
These words of mine

Sunrise finds you in my arms
Gently held in the pale mist
Dewdrops upon your fingertips
Falling ever slowly

My lips grace your crown
As light dances upon your face
Waltzing gracefully
To the beat of our hearts

You are my sweet angel
My dearest love
My night sky
And my summer’s day

You are
The warmth in my heart
The spring in my step
The smile upon my face

May these simple words
Begin to express
The way I see you
Even now.
